Duties & Responsibilities

The primary duties of this attorney is to work on the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit newly formed Civil Team and:  (1) to participate as a member of multidisciplinary teams (lawyer, auditor, investigator, nurse investigator, analyst) in investigating alleged cases of fraud; (2) to file False Claims Actions against providers in the Georgia Medicaid program; (3) contribution to multi-state investigations and litigation of qui tam cases against national providers; and (4) to collaborate and work with the U.S. Attorney’s Office to investigate and litigate qui tam cases.

Minimum Training & Experience

Member of the Georgia Bar AND graduation from an accredited law school. Preference will be given to attorneys with experience in healthcare law (specifically False Claim Act) as well as civil and/or criminal litigation.  Demonstrated ability to work in a team is a plus.
