Salary: $42,000 to $60,000 (depending on experience)
Duties & Responsibilities
As part of an investigative team in the preparation of cases of healthcare fraud, the Nurse Investigator applies clinical knowledge and experience by interpreting medical records and comparing service documentation to medical claims submitted. Makes determinations based on criteria that is relevant to the fraud investigations; prepares charts, graphs and other demonstrative exhibits to illustrate findings; performs duties as part of an investigative team. May prepare trial exhibits as well as serve as an expert witness at trial.
Minimum Training & Experience
MINIMUM Qualifications: This position requires an active RN License, two (2) years of clinical experience and one (1) year experience working with medical claims. Preference will be given to those applicants who hold a Bachelors of Science in Nursing; additional years of clinical experience; additional years experience in the analysis of medical claims and/or claims data; experience in the detection and investigation of healthcare fraud
