Duties & Responsibilities
As part of an investigative team in the preparation of cases of healthcare fraud, the Nurse Investigator applies clinical knowledge and experience in the review of medical records and the comparison of services documented to claims submitted. Makes determinations based on criteria that is relevant to the fraud investigations. Prepares charts, graphs and other demonstrative exhibits to illustrate findings. Performs duties as part of an investigative team. May prepare trial exhibits as well as serve as an expert witness at trial.
Minimum Training & Experience
MINIMUM Qualifications: RN License and two years of Nursing Experience. PREFERRED Qualifications: Bachelors of Science in Nursing; additional years of nursing experience; experience in the analysis of medical claims and/or claims data; experience in the detection and investigation of healthcare fraud.
