Attorney General Sam Olens today attended the signing of HB 973, which will permit Georgia to recoup a greater amount of our citizens’ hard-earned tax dollars from the perpetrators of Medicaid fraud. Attorney General Olens offered the following statement:

“My office has aggressively prosecuted Medicaid fraud, already resulting in more than $159 million in recoveries over the past three years alone. HB 973 will allow my office to continue to protect Georgia taxpayers’ resources to the fullest possible extent from those who seek to defraud the Medicaid system. I appreciate the leadership of Governor Deal, Representative Ed Lindsey and Senator Brandon Beach on this important bill.”
